Flowwy Dresses and Pretty Walls

I know its January and all my east coasters don’t want to hear these lies (especially given that it’s 25 degrees today) BUT, Spring is coming people!! From Dec 25 on we get one more minute of sunshine each day- if that isn’t promising then what is!? What better time then now to start prepping your wardrobes for the next season. Check out my look below shot at Wynwood Walls in Miami. Detail specifics and alternatives under the pictures! Hope you like.

Dress: Urban Outfitters. I love the fit of this dress. It’s loose and comfortable, yet drawn at the waist to offer a slim and flattering look. They’re currently carrying it in three patterns on sale now from it’s original price of $79 to $49. It’s a perfect entry to Spring dress; both breathable and light in the daytime, with the sleeves to keep you warm on chillier nights. Buy Me Here

Earrings: While in Florida I was introduced to an adorable boutique in Orlando called Sophie and Trey. I picked up a few items of jewelry there that I’ve been wearing constantly. Check out their website here – Sophie and Trey

See below for some alternatives to my look. I’m focusing on long sleeved, flowwy (confirmed not a word), transition dresses to get obsessed with this season.

Where to buy your Sherpa Jacket this winter

The Shearling/Sherpa motorcycle look is by far one of the biggest outerwear trends both this year and last. To clear any confusion, the difference between Shearling and Sherpa is simple. Shearling is real wool or fleece from a sheep, specifically one that has been shorn once. Sherpa is fake wool or fleece, made from polyester and made to look like real Shearling. All of the below picks are Sherpa for a few reasons, first because Shearling is frikkin expensive, secondly it pisses off a lot of animal rights activists and lastly because its kind of unnecessary (see points 1 and 2). There’s so many adorable Sherpa versions out on the market right now, so without further ado below are some of my favorites that are in stores now and ready to be loved by you.

  1. The exact coat that I’m wearing above is not offered online, but was purchased in store at H&M on 12.9.17 for $129. If you can get to an H&M near you now it’ll hopefully be there! They offer an adorable black version online at this link, BUY ME HERE, picture below for $129.

Breakfast in the Burg

Top: Available now at Madewell. I’m a born and raised Queens girl so finding this top had my pride level at an all time high!! No one ever reps my borough (even though they have the most authentic Asian, Hispanic and Greek food in all of NYC #fact).

Pants: twig high rise black skinny at Urban Outfitters. I have like three of these and just rotate them out each day of the winter because … winter. They don’t stretch, they suck in your lasagna and cheese platter belly, and they hold color through washes. True to size.

Boots: Sam Edelman “Joey Bootie” , buy the below beige color now at Nordstrom Rack. I got my color in store off price shopping and it’s no longer available online.

Jacket: this is a no name from a European department store. Find a similar version now at BCBG. See below.

Or from Asos which is the cheaper option. See below.

Brunch: the egg shop in Williamsburg or the East Village. Great food and cute atmosphere, think Instagrams for days.
